Lucy is a happy puppy with a beautiful big soul, looking for a loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence. She’s wonderful with her current carers showing her sweet and affectionate nature once she feels safe. Lucy is currently living the life of a domestic Maremma, whilst she is happy, inner city living would not be her number one preference. A house in the quieter outer suburbs, a country town or her number one pick would be on property.
Lucy just loves being outdoors and getting to survey her surroundings, in that respect she is very typical to her breed. Lucy is fine with other dogs of all breeds and sizes and once proper introductions have been completed she is happy to mingle. She would prefer to be in company if on a property but is happy enough with her own company to be an only dog in the burbs.
For snoozing and overnight sleeping Lucy is comfortable both indoors and outdoors and has multiple favourite snoozing spots all while watching over her people. She finds comfort in her familiar space and routine and loves nothing more than a good scratch and brush. Lucy is also cat and bird friendly.
She would do best in a home with a welcoming family where the people want to be her friend, companions and constant trainers fulfilling her need for more confidence. When she’s unsure or frightened, she naturally seeks out the company of her family for reassurance.
Lucy is doing well and currently working on her basic commands and is house trained. She is looking for a family who will benefit from her company, who want to involve her in their everyday life and understand that she is a guardian dog and will bark when strangers approach the house. She’s not suited to the hustle and bustle of an inner city suburb and would thrive in a patient home with space to relax, explore, and be her happy self.
With time, patience, and love, Lucy will continue to blossom into the calm, loyal companion she’s meant to be. As a natural guardian dog, Lucy will alert you when someone comes near your property.
Lucy loves routine, enjoys her walks and is looking for that special someone who loves big dogs with a world of love to share.
