About Indigo
Indigo, or Indi as she is affectionately known, has been the most perfect guest in foster care. She is so delightful, affectionate, quiet and endearing, she will without doubt quickly become a beloved family member for whoever is lucky enough to have her join their family. It is safe to say she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside with her lustrous golden coat.
Indi is interested in whatever is going on around her and follows her foster mum from room to room to ensure she is part of the action. She readily approaches humans for pats and cuddles but can get startled by sudden movements or noises. It is a work in progress that she is learning the world is a safe place, and she will need patient assistance and training over time to let this evolve.
This gorgeous girl is great with the other dogs and ideally would become a part of a household with an existing dog. She appears unfazed by cats she has encountered on walks, and due to her size, would be suitable for a family with kids over 7. Her ideal home is in an active household that would include her in adventures that she is comfortable with. Other than that all she needs a warm bed, a walk, a full tummy, lots of reassuring cuddles and patience to give her confidence.
Indigo is fantastic on lead and also loves her zoomies. She is additionally more than happy to be a couch potato and watch the world go by. She knows when to turn the energy on for a trip to the park but really enjoys basking in quiet on her bed, or next to you for cuddles. At around 20kgs she thinks she is the perfect lap dog! We would love Indigo to learn the joy of toys as at this stage, she shows no interest.
Indi had a polyp removed from her rectum recently and although she was given the all clear the vet advised this should be checked annually when she's vaccinated.
If you are looking for a truly wondrous soul with big brown eyes to fill that place in your heart and home, Indi is your girl
