About Teddy
Meet Teddy, an energetic and outgoing Jack Russell with a zest for life that's both infectious and endearing. This little pocket rocket is bursting with personality, and he's eager to find an active family that can match his enthusiasm for adventure.
True to his breed, Teddy loves to be on the move and can become very excited by movement, which often results in a burst of barks. Leash walks are a thrilling experience for him, although he tends to pull with anticipation and curiosity about the world around him. With a little bit of patience and training, Teddy's recall and leash etiquette can definitely be improved.
While Teddy is a social dog who loves to interact with people, he can be selective about his canine friendships, so a family without another male dog may be the best fit. He doesn't possess any food aggression, and he's highly motivated by treats, which will make training sessions both fun and rewarding.
Teddy's prey drive means he might chase cats if they run, but he is a playful soul at heart who loves the thrill of chasing anything! He also parlays that excitement into greeting his humans with enthusiastic jumps and tail wags, especially when there are treats involved.
Teddy requires a well-fenced yard to safely channel his energy and keep him secure. While he thrives on enrichment and activity, he doesn't enjoy being confined to a kennel. Hence, a family that can engage him throughout the day, providing mental and physical stimulation, would suit him perfectly.
If you have the energetic lifestyle that can keep up with Teddy and a heart full of love to give to this vivacious little guy, he will bring endless joy and adventure to your home.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
