Meet Nessa, the delightful miniature dachshund with a sweet disposition and a heart full of love. At approximately four years old, Nessa is a gentle soul who has grown to adore the comfort and companionship of a loving home. With her endearing personality, she quickly wins the affection of everyone she meets. Her beautiful, shiny coat and those expressive eyes make her a truly charming friend.
Nessa is desexed, chipped, vaccinated, and wormed, ensuring that she is healthy and ready to join a new family. Though she can be a bit shy at first, Nessa is incredibly sweet and enjoys company. Her playful barks are reminders of her joy and excitement when she's around those she loves, especially when she's interacting with other dog-friendly companions or kids. Nessa thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention, and while she hasn't been tested with cats yet, her gentle nature suggests she could adapt well over time.
With her compact size, Nessa coexists well in a home environment that provides all the warmth and security an inside dog cherishes. She appreciates a secure, fenced patio or backyard where she can safely explore, even though her heart is happiest when she's inside, comfortably by your side.
If you're looking for a loving and loyal companion who will happily curl up next to you during a cozy night in, Nessa is looking for the purrfect new family, and with an adoption fee of $895, she's ready to bring joy and companionship into her new home. She is currently located in Morningside, ready for meet-and-greets with those interested in adding a sweet, shy, and affectionate dachshund to their family.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee (per dog) . This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
