About Leo
Leo is a sweet, delicate Japanese Spitz boy who's searching for a calm, understanding household where he can finally feel secure. He can be nervous around new people, other dogs, and loud noises, so his ideal home will be a calm, quiet, adult-only environment with a predictable routine. He will need dog-savvy owners who can commit to ongoing training and help him build up his confidence with positive reinforcement.
Leo will need to be the only dog in the home, as he can feel frightened around other dogs. He will also need help building foundational skills such as toilet training. A secure yard is essential, giving him a safe space to relax and explore without stress. Given his breed, he will need regular brushing and grooming to keep his beautiful coat healthy and comfortable.
While he may seem shy at first, once Leo feels comfortable, a playful and bouncy side emerges. His new family must be prepared for managing his active side once Leo's true personality blossoms. With patience, gentleness, and a peaceful home, Leo will blossom into a loving, loyal companion ready to share his soft, playful spirit with his people.
