Meet Jesse

Jesse is a sweet and scruffy Wire-Haired Terrier of about two years old who has been blossoming in foster care. He is a complete cuddle bug who adores being close to his people and thrives on affection. At home he is confident, friendly, and full of charm. He even won over more than fifteen guests at a dinner party, greeting everyone with his adorable personality. He may give a few barks when someone arrives, but he calms down quickly and loves being part of the action.

Jesse has been working on his toilet training and will need a patient home to continue his progress. He can get quite reactive when he sees other dogs, even from a distance, so gentle guidance and ongoing training will help him feel more confident. He is a little anxious at times, but on a day-to-day basis he is a cheerful, snuggly little chap. He would do well in a home with children of primary school age and older, and he could live with another dog if they meet and get along at the shelter first.

He is not the best match for someone who likes long lie-ins because he wakes up ready to start his day with enthusiasm. When left alone he behaves wonderfully, especially when he has enough space to move around, and his only mischief is with his toys.

Jesse will thrive with someone who can offer love, reassurance, and a bit of structure. In return he will shower his person with warmth, cuddles, and endless terrier-style charm.
