Mack is a male Jack Russell Terrier, about 5 years old. He has had an abusive and traumatic past, but he's on the road to recovery and forms deep bonds with his carers. He thrives with a calm, patient approach and a consistent routine, using positive reinforcement to build trust. Because of his history, he would love an owner who is home a lot to support ongoing trust-building and safety, and he is not suitable for a home with children.

Mack enjoys play with younger dogs and can be wonderfully engaging once comfortable with them. He may do well with a well-matched younger canine friend or as an only dog with a devoted owner, provided careful introductions. Meet-and-greet is very important to determine compatibility, and he may be okay in a home with cats with gradual, supervised introductions.
