Sandy is a sweet and affectionate little Dachshund who loves being close to her people. She's tactile and enjoys gentle pats and cuddles, often leaning in or nudging your hand for more attention. Once she trusts you, Sandy's warm and engaging personality shines through - she'll happily roll over for belly rubs or follow you around just to be part of whatever you're doing. She's food motivated and takes treats gently, making her on-going training a joy.
Out on walks, Sandy can be enthusiastic and may pull a little at first, but she settles as she gets into the rhythm, enjoying time to sniff and explore.
As a Dachshund, she'll benefit from a predictable routine, gentle exercise, and care to protect her long back. Sandy would thrive as the only dog in the home, with younger respectful children in the home pending a meet.
