Jess

Jess is a beautiful 8-year-old Kelpie with a heart full of love. She adores people and is always ready to lean in for affection or enjoy a good chin scratch. She can become a little tense when touched around her back and hips due to osteoarthritis, but she remains cooperative and friendly, with a wonderful history of positive interactions with people. Despite her arthritis, Jess still enjoys being active. She'll thrive with low-impact exercise and plenty of enrichment activities to keep her mind busy without straining her joints.

Jess is looking for a home where she can be the only pet, with adults and/or older dog-savvy children who can respect her boundaries. She has not been an indoor dog before, so she'll need patient guidance as she adjusts to a new home environment. A secure yard is essential for her safety. Her new family should be familiar with Kelpie traits so they can meet her needs and appreciate the smart, devoted dog she is.
