About Lucy - 4 Year Old Basenji X
Meet Lucy!
The happiest girl! Miss Lucy is a very special and clever girl, guaranteed to win your heart. Lucy is incredibly affectionate and loving. She dotes on her humans and absolutely thrives on being included in all your adventures. She bonds quickly and will be a much loved and loyal companion instantly!
As a working dog breed, Lucy will be best suited to a family that is active. A ‘younger’ retired person, or a family with children 7+ that are home more often than not would be the best home for her. She is currently in care with children and would love a home with small human friends to play with!
Lucy gets very excited about joining her carers for daily walks and enthusiastically meets us at the door at the first sign of getting ready to leave. She’s walking much better on the lead and her recall is excellent. Lucy will chase a ball all day long and rarely get tired.
Lucy is a true snuggler and her favourite thing to do is to curl up next to you after her play time. She will nuzzle right into you and loves to couch cuddle under a cozy blanket. She’s the sweetest girl!
Lucy LOVES water! She will love to join you for a beach run or chase the water as you water your garden.
Lucy can be dog selective and best suited the only dog in the home.
Lucy is truly a very special girl. She will make the perfect companion and reward your care and attention with absolute love and doting affection.

Lucy is in foster care in Port Stephens, NSW. She is not available for adoption interstate. Her adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
