About Boots
Boots is a worried little boy who warms up well with gentle touch, reassurance, and patience. He loves high-value treats like chicken, which are excellent for training and keeping him engaged. Boots is still learning 4-paws and basic manners, so new owners will need to be patient and understanding as he builds his confidence.
Boots walks on a harness but is still becoming accustomed to it, so lead training should be introduced slowly. Walks should begin in low-foot-traffic areas to prevent him from becoming overwhelmed, as he can be easily startled by loud noises.
He would love to be allowed indoors as part of the family and would benefit from a crate to provide a safe retreat when he feels stressed. Calm, older children who understand dog body language are ideal.
Boots must meet other dogs at adoption. He has a history of being worried around other dogs, likely due to past incidents, and does best with calm, gentle, older dog companions. With patience, love, and structure, Boots will flourish into a loyal, affectionate, and playful friend.
