About Ellie
Meet Ellie, a delightful Staghound mix (we think) with a gentle and loving soul. Estimated to be around 2 years old, Ellie embodies the perfect balance of grace and friendliness. Her calm demeanor and loving nature make her a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend.
Ellie has adjusted beautifully to life with other dogs at the shelter, showcasing her sociable and friendly disposition. She even encountered the resident cat and, much to everyone's surprise, didn't bat an eyelash, but our shelter cat doesn't run so we are not sure if she would chase.
Fortunately for you, if your family enjoys weekend trips and exploring new places, Ellie will fit right in, joining you on adventures without any fuss.
Ellie is not just a good traveler; she is also a true people lover. Her friendly and affectionate nature shines through her interactions, beautifully balancing her playful spirit with gentle affection. Whether it's going for walks, playing in the yard, or simply snuggling up, Ellie seeks the company of humans and can be your loyal companion for many years to come.
If your household is active and loves the company of a sweet and adaptable dog, Ellie could be the perfect addition to your family. Her ability to connect with both people and other animals makes her a remarkable friend who brings a sense of calm and joy to any household.
Medical notes
Ellie has a grade 111/V1 heart murmur which was heard both sides of the chest. No clinical evidence of heart failure (no coughing, lethargy or fainting)
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
