About Boots
Introducing Boots, a charming and handsome dog who's truly one of a kind. Boots believes he’s the best boy around, and once you meet him, you'll see why he wears that title proudly. With an affection for walks and a talent for travelling well in the car, Boots makes a perfect companion for those who love to get out and about. His friendly demeanor allows him to connect with everyone he meets, making him an instant hit in any environment. Whether it's at home or during outings, Boots strikes the perfect balance between being good-natured and alert, happily giving a bark when it's time to say "hello" to the mailman or announce your return home.
Boots currently shares his home with three other dogs, but he often prefers the company of his human companions. Although he enjoys a good romp with his furry friends, he is perfectly content to lounge or nap by your side. Boots has mastered the art of being a laid-back, easy-going pal who occasionally thrives on his solo time. Grooming is a breeze with this easy-going pooch, who handles bath time like a pro. However, Boots isn't particularly fond of nail clippings, but with a little patience and encouragement, this minor grooming task can be tackled with ease.
When it comes to mealtime, Boots has a hearty love for food and would do best when fed alone to ensure he receives his correct portions - this way, he can keep his tail wagging and his health in check. For this reason, his ideal home may include other dogs but should accommodate his need for separate feeding times.
Boots is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to become someone’s lifelong companion. He dreams of growing old alongside his beloved humans, sharing endless memories filled with love, laughter, and lots of cuddles. If you're searching for a devoted friend who's ready to embark on life's adventures with you, Boots is the perfect match to fill your home with joy and companionship.
Medical notes
Medical notes for Boots
8 year old Boots is desexed and microchipped. He is up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention.
Boots has had a dental scale and polish during his time in foster care and a few extractions
Boots has a grade 3 heart murmur with no enlargement and he does not require medication at this stage. His resting respiratory rate is good.
Boots also has some degenerative joint disease and patella luxation in his left hind leg and is currently on 4cyte joint support. He shows no signs of lameness so he is not a candidate for patella surgery at this stage, however his condition may progress in the future and surgery may be required.
We strongly recommend Boots has 6 monthly check ups with your vet to keep an eye on his heart, joint and dental health, and he also needs to stay on a joint support supplement as he ages.
