Meet Gilda, the charming and shy Lhasa Apso and Maltese mix who is ready to find a new family to share her gentle spirit with. At 4.5 years old, Gilda is well-mannered and delightful, with a compact size that makes her an ideal companion for various living spaces as an inside dog. As a 3/4 Lhasa Apso and 1/4 Maltese blend, she showcases the best traits of both breeds: shrewd, loyal, and undeniably adorable.
Gilda's desexed and completely up-to-date with all her vaccinations, microchipping, and worming, so you can rest easy knowing she comes to you with a clean bill of health. She's house trained and well-suited to a home that can offer a secure, peaceful environment. While she is friendly with cats, she can be selective with dog friends, preferring calm, low-energy companions. She would thrive in a household with older, quiet children who understand her gentle nature.
Despite her selective nature with some dogs, Gilda is a delightfully affectionate pup who interacts softly with her human family members, but prefers adults quiet with low traffic . Her ideal day consists of leisurely strolls, cuddling up on the couch, and sharing serene moments with her beloved humans. She resides in Ashgrove and is ready for a visit to meet those who will cherish her for the wonderful dog she is.
If you're looking for a loving and gentle companion, Gilda could be the perfect addition to your family. With just the right mix of playfulness and warmth, she's looking forward to creating lasting memories and becoming a cherished part of your home. With a modest adoption fee of $895, Gilda comes ready and eager to fill your days with love and joy.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee (per dog) . This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
