Handsome Jackson was rescued from a cat colony, and he has come a long way since his tough start to life....
This young ginger and white boy still carries a few reminders of his time on the streets, but heās now thriving in care and showing just what a loving, playful cat he truly is.
Jackson has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which simply means heāll need an indoor-only home where heās the only cat, to help keep him happy, healthy and safe.
FIV doesnāt affect people, dogs or other animals and, with good care, FIV+ cats can live long, full and healthy lives.
It wasnāt Jacksonās fault he found himself alone and vulnerable, or that he was injured while trying to survive ā but those days are behind him now.
Today, heās a fun-loving, cheeky boy who adores toys, enjoys a playful wrestle with the resident dog in his current temporary foster home, and can often be found stretched out in a sunny spot, soaking up the warmth.
Jackson has adapted supremely well to the indoor life and he is great company. He is highly intelligent, engaging and has a glint of cheekiness in his eye.
With his silky ginger and white coat and his beautiful, affectionate nature, Jackson is ready to find someone who will give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Could that be you?

Medical notes
Jackson is FIV+, which means he cannot be around other cats or be outdoors in case he comes into contact with other cats.
With proper care, including a good diet, a low-stress environment and prompt veterinary treatment for any secondary illnesses, many FIV-positive cats live long and fulfilling lives, potentially for 15 years or more.

Adoption details
HOW TO ADOPT FROM US:
1. Email dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption form to be sent to you, fill it out and return it to us. Weāll be in touch!
2. If your application is successful, weāll make arrangements for you to visit our cats and kittens at our foster carerās home.
3. We ask that you pay the nominated fee to us via online bank deposit either at the adoption day or at the home visit (preferred), or in cash. We do not accept eftpos, credit or debit card transactions at this stage.
4. You will be provided with a folder of paperwork for your new kitty upon adoption. Your adoption fee includes a Central Animal Records Change of Ownership that is completed by us online two weeks after the adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
