About Nora
Nora is gentle, loving and incredibly easy to please. She doesn’t need much to be happy, just a calm home and the company of her favorite humans. Whether she is quietly following you around while you make your morning coffee, sitting nearby while you work or curling up at the end of your bed to sleep peacefully through the night, Nora simply loves being close.
She enjoys pats and affection but never in a demanding way. She has the perfect balance of companionship and independence and makes settling into a new home wonderfully easy.
Nora is delightfully food motivated and makes the sweetest little chirps when she knows dinner is coming. She is not shy to have a little chat when food is involved, and this is definitely the way to her heart.
She isn’t overly playful with just any toy, but if you bring out a string or ribbon-style toy, her playful streak shines as she runs, chases and pounces with enthusiasm.
Nora really is the most perfect all-rounded cat with a lovely combination of friendly, cuddly, affectionate and playful.
She will reward you with sweet cuddles, happy purrs and a calm loving presence in your home.
If you’re looking for a gentle, low maintenance companion who will bring warmth and joy to your life, Nora could be your perfect match.
Medical notes
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) Positive
Nora has tested positive to Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which might sound scary, but it truly isn't. It just means Nora has a slightly weaker immune system, so if they get a sniffle, it's better to take them straight to the vet rather than adopting a 'wait and see' approach. Nora can live happily with other cats that do not have FIV, therefore there is very minimal risk to any of the other cats in the household.
There is a lot of misinformation about FIV, so please ask us any questions you have, talk to your preferred/trusted vet and do your own research from reliable sources.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
