About Dolly
Meet Dolly 🎀
Dolly is the perfect mix of sweet, sassy, and smart! She has blossomed into such a funny, loving little character since being rescued and is full of quirks that make her one of a kind. She’s incredibly affectionate and adores people a true cuddle bug who thrives on love and attention 💖
She enjoys her morning ritual of hopping on the bed for cuddles and kisses after her big stretch routine, and she loves visiting neighbours or heading to her favourite treat shop down the road 🍪 She’s playful, curious, and always ready for a “sniffari,” stopping to smell every flower along the way 🌼
Dolly is happiest when she’s near her people 🐾 She loves relaxing on the couch with a good view of the world or curling up on the bed in the evenings. At night, she sleeps in her own bed beside her humans, though she sometimes chooses the cool floor when she gets too warm.
She enjoys enrichment activities like a snuffle ball, lick mats, and treat puzzles 🧩 While she’s not a huge toy lover, she’ll happily join in if you’re playing with her. After a few zoomies or a burst of excitement, she’s content to settle in for cuddles and naps 😴
Dolly is house-trained and well-behaved when left inside the home 🏡 She knows a few commands like sit, wait, and lay down, and while she can be a little stubborn at times, she’s very smart and eager to learn with the right motivation.
Dolly has a moderate energy level she loves her walks and adventures but also enjoys her lazy days 🌤️
Dolly would thrive as an only dog 💕 She can be reactive toward other dogs on lead, barking or jumping when they get close. However, she has made a few doggy friends after slow, calm introductions and even spent time living peacefully with a small male dog while her carers were on holiday 🐶
Dolly’s dream home is a quiet household with a secure yard and humans who are home often 🌸 She would do best as an only dog, with someone who can give her plenty of love, gentle structure, and patience as she continues to build confidence 🥰
❗️Dolly takes a small daily dose of fluoxetine (10 mg) prescribed by her vet for anxiety, which has helped her immensely. It’s inexpensive and may be reduced once she’s settled into her new home 🌷
