About Anika
đŸ Meet Anika â The Loving Mum with a Heart of Gold đŸ
Anika came into AWL care after being handed in at the Campbelltown Animal Facility with her single kitten, Wonton. Staff were instantly taken by her gentle and loving nature â a trait her foster carer has quickly fallen in love with, too. đ
Soon after arriving, Anika showed her true nurturing spirit by taking in several orphaned neonatal kittens brought into AWL. Without hesitation, she accepted them as her own, lovingly grooming and caring for each one.
Now, Anika is ready to find her forever home â a place where she will be cherished, safe, and never abandoned again.
Anika is a medium-to-long-haired cat, so sheâll need regular grooming to keep her coat soft and healthy. Please only apply if youâre prepared to meet her grooming needs.
Sheâs a calm, affectionate girl who adores people, enjoys cuddles and pats, and communicates with the sweetest little chirps to her foster carer.
Anika is currently in foster care in Western Sydney (not at the Kemps Creek Shelter).

STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from our foster carers & pounds. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Pre-adoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Please note that several people may be applying for the same cat so we need time to review all applicants. We do not re-home to the first to apply, we re-home to who best suits the needs of the cat or kitten. All applications will be considered individually and approval will be at the discretion of the AWL NSW Branch Representative, with their decision being final.
