About Olive
Meet Olive 🫒
1 year | Spayed female | Shoulder cat • Only cat
Aye aye, Captain!
Olive is a pirate’s parrot in cat form — happiest perched on your shoulder, watching everything that’s going on.
Olive is an affectionate, curious, and confident young cat with a surprisingly settled nature. She came into care as part of a large group of cats and can live with quiet, friendly cats with good manners but may prefer to be an only cat.
She is people-focused, enjoys interaction, and forms strong bonds with her humans. While Olive is playful, her energy is best channelled into climbing, exploring, and perching up high rather than chaotic behaviour. She would thrive in a home with good vertical space, such as tall cat trees, shelving, stairs, or a secure outdoor enclosure.
One of Olive’s most endearing traits is that she is a true shoulder kitty. She loves being up high and will happily climb onto your shoulder or back to observe the world — often using her humans as a convenient step ladder to her next vantage point. Working from home making video calls to the office? Olive would love to show herself off and make all your colleagues jealous!
Olive can become overexcited with handling if she doesn’t have enough play, but with appropriate outlets for movement and exploration, she is confident, affectionate, and easy to live with. She is not stressy or anxious — she simply enjoys her pats and her heights.
Olive’s ideal home:
A home with vertical space to climb and perch
May be suitable with children who are supervised and understand gentle handling
Olive can have a mildly sensitive tummy and requires a consistent, good-quality diet.
If you’re looking for a confident, affectionate companion who loves being close, enjoys supervising your daily life from above, and brings a bit of fun into the house, Olive could be the perfect fit.
