About Lara
Lara is a sweet, shy young cat looking for a calm home where she can settle in and be herself. She’s a beautiful girl with a gentle nature who appreciates a peaceful environment and patient people who will give her time, space, and plenty of treats while she finds her confidence. Once she feels comfortable, Lara’s affectionate and curious side truly begins to shine.
One of her most endearing traits is how she “talks”, she loves to chirp and chat to let you know where she is or what she’s up to. She’s a quiet companion who enjoys being nearby, watching what you’re doing, and joining in on her own terms.
Lara does have her boundaries and appreciates when people respect them. With kindness and understanding, she’ll happily seek out your company and affection when she’s ready. She would do best in a home without young children, where her calm and gentle personality can really flourish.
Lara would suit a single person or couple who understand cats and can offer her the steady love she needs to thrive. Whether as a solo cat or alongside another gentle feline, Lara will make a wonderful, loyal companion who rewards patience with trust and affection.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
