About Annie
Annie is a little ball of love who’s discovering the big wide world with endless curiosity and joy. Every day is a new adventure for her — whether she’s learning to climb stairs, splashing in the water, rolling in the grass, or meeting new friends (human or dog), Annie’s happiness is absolutely contagious.
We are not sure of Annie's breed mix but she's a shorty with a big head tiny legs, we believe she will remain under 15kgs.
She’s inquisitive, nosey, and a tiny busybody who must inspect everything thoroughly before deciding whether it’s for chewing, playing, or just admiring. Annie loves her toys, loves playing with her humans and dog friends, and most of all — she loves love.
When it’s time to unwind, Annie transforms into the ultimate snuggle buddy. She’ll curl up beside (or on) you for her evening nap and insists on using both of your hands for pats, massages, belly rubs, and scratches — her absolute favourite things. Her love language is physical touch, and she gives back in spades with kisses and cuddles.
She’s clever, eager to learn, and a joy to train — especially when high-value treats are involved. Annie is still mastering where to do her business, but she’s learning quickly and even joins you in the bathroom because, well, she’s a team player.
Currently crate-trained, Annie tends to wake up with the sun, though she’d be just as happy sleeping quietly next to you in bed.
🏡 Annie’s Ideal Home
Annie would thrive with a calm, confident, well-adjusted human or fur sibling to help her continue learning and building confidence. She’s not suited to being left home alone for long stretches — she loves company and wasn’t made for solitude.
She’d be perfect for someone who works from home or can arrange doggy daycare or a fur friend’s company a few days a week.
Annie’s dream day? A walk to the park, a play session with other friendly pups, a coffee stop, a nap, some toy time, a bit of training, dinner, movie cuddles on the couch, and then curling up in bed with you. Repeat daily for optimal happiness.
Annie is not suited as an outdoor-only dog — she’s your new best friend and wants to be part of your life 98% of the time. She enjoys her zoomies, sunbathing, and sniffing the grass, so a home with an outdoor area would be a huge bonus.
🐶 With Other Pets & Kids
Dogs: Loves them all — big or small! She’s a total social butterfly.
Cats: With a slow introduction, she has great potential to become besties.
Kids: Best suited for dog-savvy children aged 5+, as she still has puppy energy and might get a little too enthusiastic in play.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
