About Apollo
Apollo is a handsome, loving best friend who’s always thrilled to see you — usually greeting you with a toy in his mouth and a big, happy tail wag. He’s the kind of dog who puts the “ador” in Labrador: affectionate, loyal, and always ready to share your snacks (and his own).
This clever boy already knows a handful of tricks, including sit, shake, go to bed, wait for food, and even balance a toy on his snout (he’s still perfecting that one, but he’s giving it his all!). He walks nicely on leash, is learning to pause before crossing the street, and continues to work on his recall — he’s a smart cookie who loves to learn.
🏡 Apollo’s Ideal Home
Before foster care, Apollo lived in an apartment, but he’s happily adjusted to life in a house with a backyard and stairs. He can be a bit clumsy at times (spatial awareness isn’t his strongest suit), so you may want to keep your fragile treasures on higher shelves. Otherwise, he’s a wonderful housemate — gentle, calm, and loving.
Apollo is content with one good walk a day (we're talking more than a walk round the block or a quick romp in the park) and some playtime around the house, spending the rest of his day relaxing near his people. He enjoys his independence but also loves to be nearby, keeping quiet company while you work, cook, or unwind.
👨👩👧 With Kids & Other Pets
Children: Apollo hasn’t lived with kids but is always curious and friendly when he meets them on walks. Because he’s a strong boy, he’d do best in a home with older or dog-savvy children.
Dogs: He hasn’t lived with other dogs but enjoys meeting and playing with friendly pups at the park.
Cats: Untested, but introductions can be explored with care.
Apollo is the ultimate companion — loyal, goofy, affectionate, and always up for a cuddle, snack, or stroll. Whether he’s lounging by your side or trotting proudly beside you on a walk, he’s ready to be your best friend for life.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
