About Mimosa
*In foster care in Russell Lea, Sydney*
Mimosa is a healthy, happy ginger girl who is ready to find her forever home.
She came into care as a teen mum and has since completed her well-earned “mummy makeover.” Now that chapter is behind her, Mimosa is fully embracing the pampered life she was always meant for.
At first, Mimosa can be shy, especially with strangers or new visitors, but in a calm, quiet home her affectionate personality truly shines. Speak softly, offer a treat, and before long you’ll find her gently rubbing against you and chatting away in her sweet little voice. She’s quite the conversationalist and loves having little “chats” with her humans.
Mimosa has discovered the joy of play and tends to rotate favourite toys week by week. Right now her top obsession is Mr Turtle, who frequently ends up taking unexpected swims in her water bowl, or adventures under the fridge!
In the evenings, one of her favourite routines is settling by the window to watch the possum in the tree make his nightly appearance. She’s a gentle little observer who enjoys being near her person, often quietly following her human from room to room as they go about their daily chores and wanting to sit by their feet.
Once Mimosa knows and bonds with her human, her playful side really shines. She’ll often initiate play herself, proudly delivering her feather wand rattle or bird-on-a-string to let you know it’s time to interact and play. She’s also incredibly sweet and has been known to deliver lots of toys into bed if her human dares to sleep past breakfast time.
She’s now ready for her forever home, one filled with patience, love, and low household traffic. This gorgeous ginger girl deserves nothing less than a peaceful and playful new beginning.
Like all Maggie’s pets, Mimosa is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME
I’ll thrive in a calm, quiet household with kind and understanding humans who will give me time to settle in at my own pace. I can be shy with guests and unfamiliar people, so a low-traffic home will suit me best.
I would be happiest with a single person or couple without children, where I can build a close bond and feel truly secure. I’m an indoor-only cat.

MY ENERGY LEVEL
I’m a gentle, mid-energy girl. I enjoy playful bursts (especially with my current toy obsession!) balanced with plenty of cosy lounging and quiet companionship.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN
Best suited to an adults-only home. I can be shy and easily overwhelmed by busy environments.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS
In a purrfect world, I’d love to be your one and only.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
