About Marquise de Merteuil
*In foster care in Newtown, Sydney*
Known as Marky for short, the Marquise de Merteuil is a super-confident kitten who isn't afraid to ask for what she wants - namely, loads of pats and chin scratches!
This playful girl loves to explore her domain and conquer new horizons on the daily, often via blanket tunnels or complicated parkour sequences. Sometimes her energy seems endless - but then you'll turn around and find her crashed out on the floor, mid-game :)
Like all Maggie's pets, the Marquise de Merteuil is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm incredibly active and athletic, so a human who'll engage in daily playtime with me would be wonderful. Even better if there's a couple of you who can take turns, or maybe even a small human who loves playing as much as I do!
I'm also really keen to have a cat friend, please! ... or maybe you'd like to adopt me with my brother Val? You can see his profile here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1152354
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kitten-high! If there's something to chase, watch me chase it! If you bust out a feather wand, ribbon or ball, I'm there! I’m also a huge fan of wrestling with my brother, and it goes without saying I'm the reigning champion :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Since I enjoy playing so much, a family with cat-experienced kids would be great!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I've grown up happily alongside my brother, so - yes please to friendly cats!
I haven't had the chance to meet any dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
