Wilma is a gorgeous little calico with cute white socks, along with her big eyes and adorable mannerisms, she is beginning to blossom into a wonderful companion. Formerly a street cat who came in as a fiercely protective mother over her three kittens, she spent much of her early days with the rescue as a hissy girl who had no problem swiping to set boundaries.

With lots of time and patience from her foster carer, a huge shift has occurred and her true personality is starting to show through. She is beginning to play with toys (although wand toys are still scary!), chase around her fellow felines and even nap on the bed or couch in close proximity to her carers. While this may not seem like much, this is a huge step for a scared girl who had previously never had a home or been an inside cat. These days swiping is rare and hissing is more of a warning than a threat.

She is an incredibly polite house guest, who promises to never wake you up early for food, always use her litter tray and never be too far away, so you know you're appreciated, even if she doesn't show that with smooches and cuddles. While pats are becoming a tolerated (but not yet desired) part of life, we know she still has a way to go and would be happy to see her make this progress with foster to adopt arrangement. She may never be a super cuddly lap cat but she will certainly melt your heart with her charm.

‼️ Wilma needs someone patient (ideally with an understanding of cat behaviour) who understands she is still adjusting to interactions with humans. She is also not fond of being touched on her head, so potential adopters will need to be mindful of this.
