About Piglet
Like her namesake from Winnie the Pooh, Piglet may be small and a little shy at first - but once she feels safe, her bravery and sweetness shine through. This 10-month-old darling is a gentle soul who adores quiet affection, soft voices, and cozy corners. She might take a little time to come out of her shell, but when she does, you'll discover a loving, loyal friend who just wants to be close to you.
Piglet's the kind of cat who will quietly follow you from room to room, offering company without demanding attention. She's not bold or loud - she's soft-spoken and sensitive, happiest in calm environments where she can feel secure. And when you earn her trust? Expect soft purrs, slow blinks, and the sweetest little headbutts that say, "You're my person now."
Personality:
Shy but Brave: Piglet might be cautious in new situations, but she's incredibly brave in her own gentle way. She'll face her fears one paw at a time, and your patience will be rewarded with her love.
Affectionate & Gentle: Once she warms up, Piglet is wonderfully affectionate. She loves gentle pets and will nuzzle in for cuddles when she's comfortable.
Quiet & Calm: Piglet prefers peaceful surroundings and is ideal for a calm household. She's not one to make a fuss - just a quiet presence full of warmth.
Curious & Observant: Though she's shy at first, Piglet has a curious streak. She loves to peek around corners, watch birds from the window, and explore at her own pace.
Heart of Gold: Like her cartoon counterpart, Piglet's kindness and sweetness make her impossible not to love.
Why Piglet is the One for You:
If you've ever wanted a gentle, loving cat who will quietly brighten your world, Piglet is your girl. She may start off timid, but her heart is enormous. Once she trusts you, she'll be your little shadow - soft, loyal, and full of quiet courage. Piglet will remind you every day that sometimes the smallest cats take up the biggest space in your heart.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
