About Koda
Meet Koda!
1 year and 9 month old Cavoodle.
Koda came into care thru a private surrender — absolutely no fault of his own, just needs the right family to love him forever.
Koda is a pocket-sized bundle of joy, affection, zoomies, cuddles, and occasional dramatic sighs. He is the definition of Velcro dog — if you’re sitting, he’s sitting. If you’re moving, he’s moving. If you blink, he’s already in your lap.
✨ Personality & Vibes ✨
Koda is playful, cheeky, and loves being right in the middle of family life. He is 100% convinced that:
• Every lap is his lap
• Every person is his new best friend
• Every bed is better when he’s in it
He would thrive in a lively, loving home with people who will give him attention, activity, and lots of snuggles.
🚽 Training & Home Habits
• Toilet trained – yes! But does need regular trips outside, especially morning/evening.
• Crate trained – No thanks, he politely declines and would rather be with you.
• Doggy door – Not in use in care.
⚡ Energy & Noise Level
He is 1 year old, so yes… ENERGY.
Think: play, play, play… and then big nap.
He’ll tell you when someone’s at the door — he’s a good security consultant.
🐾 Social Life
• Loves all people. Adults, kids, anyone who will look at him = instant fan club.
• Dog friendly — lives with a bigger dog and loves following him around.
• Still learning dog manners and can get a bit reactive on leash because he doesn’t totally understand how to greet politely yet — he’s trying!
• Cats – Not officially tested, but has shown chill curiosity. Likely fine with a confident cat.
• Small animals – Might do a casual “I could chase that bird… maybe later” trot.
🏃♂️ Walks & Adventures
• LOVES walks and has surprising stamina for a small dog.
• Needs a harness because he can get a little excited spaghetti noodle on the leash.
• Showing improvement with treats and praise. A basic training class would help him shine — and he’ll love the attention.
💞 Favorite Activities
• Zooming around with kids
• Carry-me-like-a-baby moments
• Chew toys
• Snuggling like it’s his full-time job
• Following you everywhere (including places he does not need to be, e.g. bathroom)
💖 Special Notes
Koda does get separation anxiety — he’s just a sensitive, loving little guy who wants to feel connected. He settles best when someone is home often or he can go along on family outings.
Good news:
He is not destructive, doesn’t chew things, and has a heart made of sunshine.
✨ Grooming
As a Cavoodle, he will need regular grooming to keep his coat soft, fluffy, and cuddle-ready.
Koda is the ultimate companion dog — fun, affectionate, smart, silly, and endlessly loving.
If you want a dog who will adore you, make you laugh, join every family moment, and curl up with you afterward, Koda is your boy.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
