About Francine
Meet Francine, a cat whose story is heartbreakingly difficult, yet a testament to resilience and the power of patient, loving care.
Francine was left behind when her owners moved away, abandoned at a property with no one to care for her. The neglect she endured was severe: she arrived in such a state that she had lost all trust in people, her body and spirit both bearing the weight of extreme hardship. Her mouth had decayed to the point that all her teeth needed to be removed, she had endured unimaginable pain without anyone to comfort her.
Given such total abandonment, it's no wonder Francine is wary, shy, and cautious of human touch. She carefully chooses who she trusts, stepping back when she feels unsure. But with the dedication, patience, and gentle love of the amazing staff, she has begun to show the bright, loving personality buried beneath the fear. Now, when she's ready, she rolls around for pats, leans into gentle attention, and lets her trust be earned.
Francine's journey is far from over. Her new adopter will need to provide ongoing support, not only to nurture her confidence and comfort but also to care for her unique medical needs. With no teeth, Francine requires a soft food diet for life, and her health and wellbeing will be a daily commitment.
Adopting Francine isn't just giving her a home, it's offering her a second chance at life, trust, and love that she was cruelly denied. For the right person, Francine will reward every moment of patience with unwavering loyalty, gentle affection, and the quiet joy of a soul learning to trust humans again.
