Meet Kenai – Our Distinguished Gentleman
At 12 years young, Kenai is the very definition of grace and good manners. This handsome senior Husky was first welcomed into the care of North Queensland Animal Rescue over a decade ago, and after 10 wonderful years in a loving home, he’s found himself back with us—through absolutely no fault of his own.
Kenai has grown up in a multi-dog household, happily sharing his space with female canine companions. He’s a calm, sociable soul who enjoys good company, gentle affection, and the occasional chat (as any respectable Husky does!).
While he’s still fit, bright, and alert, Kenai’s Iditarod racing days are well behind him. These days, he prefers life at a slower pace—an occasional short frolic or stroll suits him just fine. He does, however, still have that classic Husky curiosity, so a secure yard is a must to keep this silver-coated adventurer safe.
If you’re looking for a loyal, well-mannered companion to share your quiet moments with—a dog who’s seen the world, lived with love, and still has plenty of affection to give—Kenai might just be your perfect match.
Distinguished. Devoted. Dignified. That’s Kenai.
Can you give this magnificent boy the retirement home he deserves?
Kenai is $200 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
