About Ebony
If you’re looking for an extra affectionate, extra gentle and extra quiet pet then let me introduce you to Ebony who is the epitome of sweetness. Ebony was found in bushland south of Cairns and was very emaciated. She was rescued and taken to the pound where she was named Bones. Despite the hardship she endured, her spirit remained undaunted, and she loves everyone she meets.
This girl adores her people and will follow you around as you go about the house then lie quietly at your feet when you are resting; when invited, she will jump on your lap for a pat and cuddle. While being patted she is filled with joy and does a full body wiggle. Ebony warms to new people immediately and has made many friends on her daily walks. She also loves all other dogs, particularly those who will engage in bouts of play.
Miss Ebony is between small and medium size; her shoulder height is about 45 cm. Ebony currently weighs about 13 kilograms, and she may put on a one or two kilograms to reach her optimum weight. She is approximately two years old and is still young enough to be playful and learn more skills but has outgrown potential puppy antics. Ebony has a few small scars from her recent ordeal, but she has bounced back to be a very pretty girl with a shiny, black, soft coat. She has a white streak on her chest, and this is where she loves to be rubbed. Her cuteness extends to her ears as her right ear often points up while her left ear points to the side.
Ebony sleeps soundly all night, is not a fussy eater and is completely toilet trained. She loves going for walks and walks gently on a loose lead. If she is off lead in parks Ebony has excellent recall. This lady seldom barks and prefers to make a little squeak when she wants to communicate with her people. She will do well in a home with another dog who is the same size or slightly larger and who will engage with play and do zoomies with her. However, she will suit a number of family situations.
Although she prefers being inside, Ebony is both an inside and outside dog and is not one to be left alone in the yard for long periods; she needs to be included in family life as she is very gregarious and loves pleasing her people. In summary, this little girl is affectionate, loyal and playful and is a marvellous companion dog.
If you think Ebony can find her forever home with you, her foster mother would love to tell you more about the girl’s special qualities. If you have any further questions and would like to meet Ebony, please reach out to the team.
