Hi there, lovely humans! My name’s Merlot, and much like the drink I’m named after, I’m smooth, a little cheeky, and guaranteed to improve your life with age!

I’m a little boy, weighing in at 10.5kgs the perfect size for cuddles, car rides, and fitting snugly beside you on the couch.

When I first arrived, I was more of a “boxed wine” kinda pup a bit unsure, a little rough around the edges. But thanks to my wonderful foster family, I’ve been maturing beautifully! I’ve learned that toys are fun (who knew squeaky things could be so exciting?), cuddles are life, and walks are basically the best thing ever invented.

I’ve been working hard on my manners I’m learning my name, some cool commands, and I’m even figuring out that the lead doesn’t mean zoomies. I’m getting pretty good at this whole “being a well-behaved dog” thing… though sometimes my enthusiasm gets the better of me. What can I say? Life’s just too much fun!

I absolutely love people especially kids who are big enough to keep up with my playful spirit. I’m happiest when my humans are home, whether we’re snuggling on the couch or just hanging out together. I’m still learning that not all dogs are scary, but for now, I’d prefer to be your one and only fur child (I like to think of myself as an exclusive vintage).

I’ve even started spending more time outside, but honestly, nothing beats being indoors where the people are that’s where the best cuddles (and snacks) happen!
