Hi! I’m Cookie and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Cookie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Cookie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you. 
 
What I need in my new home: 
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard 
• To be allowed inside with my family and not left outside 24/7 with no interaction.  
• I LOVE other dogs but I’m a very energetic and playful dog, so I need a doggy playmate who will match my energy levels and playfulness. 
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare 
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction. 
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) 
• I LOVE my toys so I’ll need lots of toys and mental stimulation 
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean 
• Lots of love and attention 
• No young children as when I'm excited, I get very bouncy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc. 
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older. 
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as training. I came into the shelter very scared and nervous/shy to start off with. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs

• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.

• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches 
• Love to snooze on the couch 
• Exuberant and full of beans 
 
Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I will require further basic training so I am the best behaved girl i can be
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue with my socialisation 
• I love my food and toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier. 
• I can be a bit bouncy - training should stop this 
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
