About Daphne
Meet Daphne, our sweet Shih Tzu mix with a gentle personality and a heart full of love to give. Though she may initially be a bit timid with new faces, patience and kindness will help her to blossom into the most loyal of companions. Daphne is a compact package of joy, adorably petite at just 4.2 kg, making her the perfect little snuggle buddy.
Daphne thrives in calm environments where she can take her time getting to know her new family. Once she trusts you, she's incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than gentle pats and cuddles. Her quiet demeanor makes her perfect for a peaceful household where she can enjoy a loving bond with her human friends. She is responsive and good with little dogs and has shown a respectful nature when interacting with the shelter cat, proving her social yet polite demeanor.
When it comes to walks, Daphne needs some guidance to gain confidence on the lead. This presents an excellent opportunity for her new family to bond with her through gentle training. Large, bouncy dogs can overwhelm her, so she would do well in a home with smaller canine companions or as an only pet where she can feel secure and cherished. Her caregivers can expect a charming little companion who will bring tranquility and occasional playful bursts to their everyday life.
If you're looking for a gentle and loving dog, Daphne might be the perfect furry friend for you. She is seeking a calm environment and a family dedicated to showing her the affection and understanding she deserves. Adopt Daphne and receive a heart full of gratitude in return!
Medical notes

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
