About Stitch - 4 Month Old Kelpie X
Meet Stitch! 4 month old German Koolie X Kelpie.
Stitch is a real character! He is a happy, energetic, intelligent boy who loves to wrestle and play with toys. He's a pro wrestler! He’s super affectionate and will be your little shadow when he gets to know you. He has the cutest face when he’s happy and his eyes melt any heart he meets. Oh and he loves his food! Being from a litter of 11 puppies he is still learning that he will have good food regularly and won’t have to share.
Stitch has been well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (medium sized) and gets along well with them all. He loves to wrestle with his Dachshund foster brother and Whippet foster sister then collapse for a good nap! He's met lots of people whilst in foster carer with me and is friendly and affectionate with them all.
Stitch will grow up to be a medium sized dog. Being a working breed & highly intelligent he will need a very active home with lots of enrichment. It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Stitch. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Stitch currently has freedom to come in and out of the house via a doggy door. He is responding well to commands like come, sit, back and stay. Being a puppy he’s full of energy and will thrive with training and lots of love. He currently sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom though loves to sleep at the end of someone’s bed if he’s allowed! He will make a wonderful family dog and has been with kids 3 years and older. You will need a large yard with good fencing with no small gaps. Stitch has also spent some time on a working farm with his doggy parents and responded very well to that environment.
Stitch’s adoption fee is $800 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Stitch is in foster care in Maitland, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
