Meet Soybean,
Soybean is a sweet and gentle little lady with a soft spot for calm company and cozy corners. She’s best suited to a quiet home where life moves at an easy pace, as loud noises and sudden movements can make her a bit uneasy. Soybean is happy to meet respectful children aged 8 and up who can understand her boundaries — belly rubs are a big no-no in her book, but she’ll absolutely melt for gentle pats and those perfect head and ear scratches she loves so much.
She’s not the playful, zoomie type — Soybean prefers to spend her time curled up on her bed or perched somewhere comfy where she can keep an eye on her home. She’s wonderfully low-maintenance, not fussy with food, and content just being near you in her own quiet, endearing way. While mostly soft-spoken, she’ll occasionally let out a cute little meow to remind you she’s around.
Soybean is a lovely, laid-back girl — friendly, affectionate, and full of warmth in her own peaceful way. She’s ready to find a calm and loving home where she can truly relax and be herself.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Soybean would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Soybean shows a little bit of interest in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Soybean has already experienced living on the streets and she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Staff Comments: Soybean is a very sweet, little cat who spends most of her day sleeping in her bed or looking out her condo window. She is a super easy going cat who is chilled out and gentle.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
