Meet Kaos,

Don’t let the name fool you — Kaos is anything but chaotic! This lovely gentleman has carried his name proudly for the past eight years, so we’ve kept it just the way he knows it. Despite what his name might suggest, Kaos is calm, gentle, and full of heart.

Kaos is an older boy looking for someone special to share his golden years with. He still has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys a good walk or a fun game, but he’s equally happy to stretch out and relax by your side. He’s friendly, social, and loves spending time with his human friends — especially when treats are involved!

Kaos would suit experienced owners and can adapt well to just about any household environment. He’s the perfect mix of energy and ease, confidence and curiosity, with a whole lot of love still to give. If you’re ready to open your home (and your heart) to a sweet, steady dog who’ll brighten every day, Kaos is waiting to meet you.

Ideal Home: Kaos is suitable to live in a standalone home or on a farm/acerage, with a medium to large yard, and high secure fencing.

Family: Kaos is open to meet kids of any age - despite his stocky build, Kaos is gentle and very mild mannered.

Kaos is fine to live with people who work part-time hours, or someone who is home more often than not. Although he shows no signs of separation anxiety he is totally in love with people and loves to be around you. He is able to spend time in the yard on his own, but would also like to be inside with his new family, too.

Furry Friends: Kaos is best to be the only dog in the home.

Kaos is not suitable to live with cats and/or pocket pets.

Training & Development: Kaos would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. He is mild mannered but may jump on you, on occasion when treats are on offer.

Kaos knows his name, and he knows commands such as 'sit'.

He is food motivated, so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would still be an excellent idea. Kaos is learning how to be gentle when taking treats from you - he is improving every day!

We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.

Play: Kaos has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise or walks from 20-60mins a day to keep him healthy and content. Kaos does play with toys - he likes soft toys and squeaky toys. He also likes to go for walks, or simply likes being near you and hanging out with you.

Kaos walks well on lead with minimal pulling - if he does pull it is usually because of a new smell or point of interest. He is best to be walked on either a harness or martingale.

Staff Comments: Kaos is most chill when he is out and about and around the people who look after him. He can be a little stressed in his kennel, but it very calm, content and quiet outside. During play time, he loves to initiate play with you - he'll hold his toy in his mouth and playful bark at you as if you say 'come play!'. He is a chill dog who loves to explore new places and meet new people.
