About Simon
Hi, I’m Simon, one of the handsome Chipmunk Litter brothers! I’m a Staffy x Shar Pei boy with a big heart, a calm nature, and just the right mix of playfulness and chill. I might be named after the sensible one, but don’t let that fool you, I still love a good game and plenty of cuddles!
I get along really well with other dogs and enjoy having a playmate, but I’d also be perfectly fine as the only pet in the home. I haven’t met any cats or other animals yet, so I’m not sure how I’d go with them, but given my curiosity, I’d probably do best in a home without smaller animals unless introduced carefully.
During the day, I spend most of my time outside, soaking up the sun or playing with my toys. At night, I sleep happily in my crate outside, it’s my little safe spot. I’m usually only left alone for a couple of hours at a time and do really well on my own.
I’ve met kids and think they’re awesome! I can still be a bit bouncy with the little ones, but with older kids, I’m happy to just lie beside them and enjoy their company. I love meeting new people too, every new face is a potential new friend (especially if they have treats).
Speaking of treats, I’m highly motivated by them! I already know how to sit and wait, and I’m learning quickly because I love to please. I’m fantastic on the lead and enjoy my walks, they’re one of my favourite parts of the day. I’m also great with my toileting and don’t have any issues there.
I’m a bit of both worlds when it comes to energy, playful when it’s time to run, relaxed when it’s time to nap. I’m not fussy about fencing and have no interest in jumping out. I’ve got no health or behavioural concerns, just a happy-go-lucky personality and a love for life.
Vet visits are no problem for me, I love the attention and the treats! I can be a bit vocal when I’m playing, but otherwise I’m a quiet, easygoing boy.
My favourite toys are squeaky balls, I can chase and chew them for ages. When I’m not playing, you’ll usually find me lying in the sun, enjoying the warmth, or sitting quietly by your side. I’m a bit more independent than my brothers, but I’ll always make sure you know I’m there, just a gentle presence, ready for pats and company.
I eat a mix of biscuits and chicken mince, and I’m ready for my forever home.
Somewhere I can keep learning, keep loving, and keep soaking up those sunny naps.
