Docherty is looking for a quiet home with a small family to sit inside with at night.

Docherty is not going to make it as a guarding dog. He is currently on a chicken farm with other working Maremmas and it is not working out.

The perfect fit would be a household with one or two people or a small family. Docherty has formed a bond with just one person at the chicken farm. However, he’s not suited for a farm environment as he has a tendency to chase after chickens.

Though he’s still a little underweight, he’s making great progress in gaining strength. He is already desexed and vaccinated, making him ready for his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs and has a bit of a fear of the dark.
