About Beau
Beau is a stunning 3-year-old Rottweiler with a black-and-tan coat and a heart full of potential. Weighing in at 45kg, he’s a large boy with an even larger capacity for love—once he learns his place in a world that offers him freedom from a chain.
Beau’s early life was tough. He spent most of his time chained at his original premises, with little opportunity to explore, play, or experience the world. As a result, he can be awkward and unsure in new environments, and unfamiliar sights and sounds may leave him feeling the need to be near his person. Beau will come seeking your attention if he's left alone for too long. Beneath his uncertainty is a dog who desperately wants to connect, and he is obedient and playful when with his person.
Despite his limited socialisation, Beau is a friendly, eager-to-please companion. He’s the kind of dog who watches your every move, hoping to get it right. He just needs someone patient and experienced to help him build confidence and settle into a new routine. A calm, reassuring guardian who understands he is struggling to know what to do with freedom when it's offered and is willing to go slow will be key to helping Beau thrive.
Beau has shown sensitivity to needles and may react to the sound of a cap being pulled—another reminder of the care and gentleness he’ll need in vet visits and handling. But with the right person by his side, Beau will blossom into a loyal, loving best friend.
