About Murt
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Children over 8 years
- Ideally own another dog as a companion for Murt
Cuddly blue boy Murt!
Murt has the waggiest tail and wags it nonstop on his walks and when he knows that you are talking to him.
Murt can be a bit shy when meeting new friends, but once he warms up, he is extremely affectionate and demands more attention. Murt greets his foster parents every morning with an abundance of play bows, nudges with his snoot, and kisses. He plays with fluffy toys occasionally when he is very excited but prefers receiving pats and cuddles from his foster family.
Murt walks beautifully on the lead, including in busy areas, and is quickly learning how to 'wait' on command at intersections. Murt is quite laid back and enjoys just having two short walks a day and then spending the rest of the day snoozing at home. Murt hasn't interacted closely with many small dogs, but has always responded politely or with little interest to small dogs barking at him.
Murt is currently in foster with another greyhound and would prefer to live in a home with another canine companion to help with building his confidence. He is suited to full time workers.
Murt travels well in the car, but is still learning how to get into an SUV on his own (jumping out is easy as pie for Murt). Murt is toilet trained, devours his meals and treats, and sleeps soundly overnight on his own.
If you are after a cuddly, gentle blue boy with lots of love to give, big Murt could be your guy!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
