About Eeyore
Like her namesake from Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore may seem a little quiet and reserved at first - but beneath that calm exterior is one of the most affectionate, loyal hearts you'll ever meet. This 10-month-old sweetheart is gentle, observant, and a little sensitive, but she forms deep bonds once she knows she can trust you.
Eeyore is the type of cat who prefers cozy corners and calm company to loud adventures. She's not one to demand attention, but if you sit quietly beside her, she'll scoot a little closer, blink up at you, and start a soft, comforting purr. She may not be the life of the party - but she'll be the steady, loving presence that makes a house feel like home.
Personality:
Gentle & Reserved: Eeyore is calm and easy to love. She prefers peaceful surroundings and gentle voices.
Affectionate (in her own way): She might not rush up to greet you, but when she chooses you, it's forever. Expect slow blinks, quiet purrs, and the occasional nuzzle of her head when she's feeling brave.
Loyal Companion: Once Eeyore feels safe, she'll be your faithful little shadow - not clingy, just quietly nearby, offering her quiet company.
Thoughtful & Observant: She notices everything, and she's happiest when she can take her time exploring new places.
Comfort-Seeking: Eeyore loves soft blankets, sunny spots, and cozy hideaways - anywhere she can curl up and feel secure.
To book a meet and greet with Eeyore please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
