About Tigger
Tigger is a 10-month-old sweetheart whose name might make you think of a bouncing ball of energy - but this little lady is more the thoughtful, gentle type. She's playful in short bursts, then happy to curl up for a quiet nap or watch the world go by from a sunny window. Curious, affectionate, and polite, Tigger is the kind of cat who wins your heart slowly and completely.
Tigger loves exploring her surroundings, batting at toys, and discovering new cozy spots to nap in. She's still young and has a touch of kitten energy, but she balances it beautifully with calm moments and gentle affection. Once she trusts you, she'll show her sweet and loving side - following you around quietly, offering soft purrs, and snuggling close when she's in the mood for love.
Personality:
Gentle & Sweet: Tigger has a soft, affectionate nature. She enjoys companionship but doesn't demand constant attention.
Curious Explorer: Like her namesake, she loves a little adventure - just at her own calm pace. She's always interested in new sights, sounds, and cozy spots.
Affectionate & Loyal: Once she's bonded with you, Tigger will be a faithful little friend who likes to stay close.
Balanced Energy: She enjoys playtime but isn't overly active - a perfect mix for someone wanting a young cat without the chaos of kitten-level energy.
Sociable: Tigger gets along well with gentle cats and friendly people. She would fit beautifully into a calm, loving home.
Tigger is the perfect blend of playful and serene - curious enough to make you smile, calm enough to bring peace to your home. She'll greet you with soft eyes, quiet affection, and just enough "Tigger charm" to brighten your day.
To book a meet and greet with Tigger please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
