About Nellie *On Trial*
*nellie is currently trialling her new home* this beautiful little dog is nellie and she’s looking for a loving forever home – will it be with you???
nellie and her 16 week old pup, meg (who’s going to her forever home on 29/07), were recently rescued by sarg from our local pound where they ended up when they were found wandering the streets of mildura. Sadly no one came forward to claim them so now they are safe and settling in well into foster care. Sweet, gentle nellie has the softest, most luxurious fur which makes you want to cuddle and pat her for hours, and we really love that blue and brown eye which makes her stand out from the crowd! we reckon she’s had a pretty rough start to life and meg definitely wouldn’t be from her first litter of pups but now it’s nellie’s time to shine and not have to worry about bringing up puppies ever again. Nellie gets along well with humans of all shapes and sizes, though she can be a little shy at first, and is enjoying being pampered by her carers young teenage daughters. She is getting along fine with the household’s 2 male kelpie x’s and was good with any little dogs she was introduced to while still in the pound. Little nellie isn’t licky or in your face and doesn’t jump up on you and she’s definitely not a yapper. We don’t think much time was ever put into her training though she naturally has lovely manners and is learning to “sit” for treats and enjoys going for walks on a lead. We reckon nellie’s a lovely blend of fox terrier x and at 4. 8kgs she’s a perfect lap size! \ she is low-maintenance only needing a brush every now and then and she’s not overly fussy when it comes to food. Daily walks or runs around the backyard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep her stimulated in her new home will make nellie very happy indeed!!
as nellie is housetrained she would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s settling in to her new home. Medical notes
Nellie is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and worm. Weight: 4. 8kgs (as at 5/07/11). Heartworm test = negative (commenced heartgard). Nellie’s teeth were also scaled and polished by our vet so they’re shiny and new again!
