About Loki
Introducing the handsome and gentle Loki!
Loki is a 4 year and 6 month old Miniature Poodle
Loki has come into care from a private surrender – Loki is still a young dog and unfortunately the owner's elderly sick dog was not wanting another dog at the home.
Loki can be very nervous meeting new people but give him a few minutes and some space and he opens up to being a lovely boy. Especially if a behind the scratch or on the side of the face is on offer.
Once comfy Loki is a happy lovely boy who loves his humans you will see a fun side of him, Loki loves to play with the ball and is doing an awesome job at being a big brother foster brother to other dogs who have come into care.
Loki is currently in care with other dogs of different sizes and personalities and loves to play and hang out with them. Loki is not a dominant dog and would love a home with another dog who is calm and gentle as well.
Loki would love a home where it's a quiet calm home - we would be looking for a home with no young kids under 5 – just as the noises could scare him – He would be fine with kids over 10 and has been fine when friend's kids visit.
He would be fine with staying at home by himself (with his fur sibling for periods of time but of course would not say no to a home where someone works from home, shift work etc etc)
Loki currently has access to inside and outside at his leisure.
Loki once comfortable loves having his photo taken, especially if you tell him how handsome he looks!
Loki does need some time to get comfortable with his new family before being taken for a walk – Loki will require a harness but loves a walk or would be more than happy as a family dog with play in the backyard.
Loki does currently sleep in with his humans on the bed or on a dog bed – happily snuggles with another dog if on dog bed.
Once Loki is confident and comfortable with you, he will love a good cuddle on the couch while you’re watching tv or cooking he will be an awesome couch warmer for you.
Loki loves to play with soft toys that he loves to carry around with him. Loki once comfortable has a really happy and goofy side at times and it's an absolute pleasure to watch him blossom and show this side.
Loki is toilet trained but may have an accident or two when going to a new house – he will just need a few days to settle and shown the outside to do his business.
Loki is not tested with cats
Loki does have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a lifetime of grooming.
Loki is looking for a home where he will be allowed the time to settle, and his humans will continue to help his confidence grow and be cherished like he should be – are you that home?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
