About Ella, the greyhound
If you are interested in Ella, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
Meet Ella, the gentle and spirited greyhound ready to embark on her next chapter of life. Ella is a joyful senior with a zest for life and an overbite that adds a touch of endearing charm to her already irresistible persona. She's been retired from the racing and breeding world, and now, this loving greyhound is looking for a family to share her golden years with, where limitless cuddles and adventures await.
Ella shares her foster home with a tiny Pomeranian and two greyhounds. She’s gentle and respectful with all of them.
Ella possesses an adaptable spirit, making her a match for both apartment and house living, provided there aren't too many stairs, given her gentle legs. Her love for other dogs, especially her fellow greyhounds, makes her an easy-going companion, although it's worth exploring how she'd adjust as a solo dog. With her affectionate and calm nature, Ella is quite comfortable with alone time, typically needing a little exposure to gain independence initially. Though she's been around kids on walks, her calm demeanor suggests she'd do well with kids aged eight and up, sharing a mutual respect for each other's boundaries.
In addition to her affectionate demeanour, Ella is truly a city dog at heart, unfazed by the hustle and bustle and up for new adventures in both urban and coastal settings. Her lead manners are a work in progress, but she's more than willing to learn with the aid of a harness, appreciating the guidance from her human companions. Ella's toilet habits are impeccable, and she's had perfect guidance from her current doggy household in that regard.
Ella enjoys all the joys of life, from cuddly pillows and cozy couches to the comfort of a car ride, which she'll eagerly jump into with a little help. Her sense of adventure stands out as one of her best traits, and she greets every visitor with a wagging helicopter tail. She'll thrive in a family eager to include her in activities and day-to-day outings. Picture Ella's thrilled expression at a BBQ, a trip to the beach, or even heading to the local cafe for a brew—she's excited to soak up every moment.
Whether you're a seasoned pet owner or venturing into dog companionship for the first time, Ella is an absolute delight. With her adorable dribbles and everlasting optimism, she'll undoubtedly bring joy and love to her new family’s household. Embrace the opportunity to give Ella a loving and adventurous family, and she'll forever adorn your life with her gentle presence and unwavering loyalty.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
