About Heinz
*** To apply for Heinz, please complete our Adoption Enquiry Form on our website at www.animalrescue.org.au ***
Heinz' ideal home:
- a fenced and secure yard
- easy access to both inside and outside
- sleep inside with his family
- another dog would be fun, but ok without
- will be great with children
- continued training and social stimulation
- someone who is home a bit so he is not left alone for too long
Heinz is one of our super cute Dachshund x puppies now ready for their forever homes.
Heinz is a very social and energetic puppy who loves playing with his foster carers and his brother, Dieter. They are also in foster care with an adult dog and are enjoying spending time with him also. Heinz would be a fantastic second (or third) dog or could do well with having just human children around.
Heinz loves a pat and a cuddle but is more independent than his brother and will spend time by himself on the couch or floor just chilling. He is not as vocal as his brother but will bark in response to a loud noise or another dog barking (true dachshund trait)
Heinz is very responsive to commands and is doing well with recall and should be very trainable as they grow. Puppy preschool is highly recommended. He is a gorgeous puppy and whomever meets will just fall in love with him.
Heinz is fully vaccinated and microchipped. They will be desexed by 6 months of age which is included in the adoption fee if using our vet, or reimbursement made for same amount upon proof of desexing.
Medical notes
