About Heidi
HEIDI — A Sweet Mid-Life Kelpie Looking for a Loving Home
Meet Heidi, a gentle and affectionate Kelpie girl born in 2018. She’s loyal, people-loving, and has a calm, easy-going temperament — think “typical Kelpie,” but with a sensible, slightly goofy, adult filter.
Personality
Heidi is friendly, well-mannered and walks quite nicely on a lead. She loves being part of whatever you’re doing and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time…it’s simply what she’s used to.
Good With Pets
Heidi gets along well with other dogs. Her best mate is the male Rottie next door — a dog who doesn’t like canines except, apparently, Heidi. She also lives with a cat and is respectful, unless he decides to sprint, in which case she may assume it’s okay to give chase.
Travel & Training
Heidi adores car rides and makes an excellent travel buddy. She knows sit and stay, and she greets every human with the enthusiasm of someone who’s been waiting all day just to see them.
Ideal Home
A home with a decent yard and indoor-outdoor access would suit her well. She enjoys a mix of active and rest time. She can be protective of her food around unfamiliar dogs - and who can blame her?
If you’re looking for a loving, gentle, slightly goofy companion who’ll happily be your sidekick, Heidi is ready to meet you.
