About Tripoli
*In foster care in Manly, Sydney*
She may have three and a half legs, but don’t tell Tripoli that - she hasn’t noticed! Her first jump off the windowsill gave her foster carers an absolute heart attack, but she landed perfectly fine and strutted off as if to say, 'What’s the fuss about?' She’s braver (and cheekier) than she looks!
Speaking of looks, Tripoli is drop-dead GORGEOUS - a stunning long-haired girl with soft tabby fur and the most striking green eyes. This little survivor came into care pregnant, with a severe limp, and it wasn’t clear what had happened to her until X-rays showed she'd been shot at close range... The bullet fragments had shattered the inside of her leg, but somehow she'd healed all by herself. The vets were as shocked as we were, but they've said she’s perfectly healthy and happy as she is!
Tripoli's front leg being slightly different from a 'normal' front leg doesn’t hold her back at all, and in the early days of her road to recovery she’s learning to trust and be a cat again :) She's even started to play recently, and her foster carers couldn’t be more excited! It’s so beautiful watching her relax and decompress as she lounges around in her favourite spots.
Yes, she will need patience and time as she takes her next momentous step into her forever home - but we know it will all be worth it! Every time she shows her gentle, affectionate side and rewards their pats with deep, rumbling purrs and head butts, her carers feel privileged to be a part of her healing journey. Oh, and don't even think about stopping with the pats - she can be quite demanding when she wants to be!
Tripoli is reaching new milestones every day - and after all the trauma she’s been through, she deserves a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe and secure. She's such a special soul who can't wait to begin her amazing next chapter 💛
Like all Maggie's pets, Tripoli is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'll thrive in a calm environment, with kind and understanding humans who won't expect too much from me as I adjust to my new safe and wonderful life. This might take a few weeks or even a month, so patience will be key! A single person or couple without children would be my best match, and ideally I'll be an indoor-only cat.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm the quiet, low-energy girl you've been looking for! If I spend an entire day relaxing in my favourite cosy spots, that's a good day in my books :) As I get more comfortable it's possible a playful side of my personality will emerge, but for now I'm definitely happiest lounging around, watching the world go by.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm looking for an adults-only home, or one with older children (12+) who'll give me all the space and quiet time I need.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'd like to be your one-and-only furry friend!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
