About Gopher
Gopher is a very sweet little Frenchie whose main goal in life is to become one with her humans. She’s gentle, loving, and happiest when she’s curled up against you — ideally for as long as you’ll let her. Her love language is definitely cuddles, and she’s always ready for a snuggle session. She’s crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night.
On walks, Gopher loves greeting both people and dogs — she’s quite the social butterfly! At the dog park, she may burst in with enthusiasm, have a quick sniff to say hello, and then settle down to quietly observe the fun.
She’s still learning her basic commands since she didn’t have much training before coming into care, but she’s eager to please and far from naughty — she just wants to be loved. And as a bonus, her adorable tongue refuses to stay in her mouth, giving you endless chances to capture the perfect blep photo.
🏡 My Ideal Home
Gopher would thrive in either an apartment or a house. She’s a relaxed little lady who doesn’t need much space — just your company. The only thing that really gets her attention are birds, so a home without many feathered visitors would suit her best.
She doesn’t experience separation anxiety and is fine being left alone for a few hours, though she’d always prefer to have her humans nearby (ideally glued to her side). Being a brachy breed, a home where she has unlimited access to inside with air conditioning is essential.
🐕 My Energy Level
Gopher enjoys her walks, mostly because she loves to watch the world go by. Short strolls are perfect for her — she gets her fill of the neighbourhood gossip and treats the outdoors as her personal toilet. Her favourite hobby, though, is cuddling — or as she’d describe it, wearing her human’s skin as a skinsuit.
👧 My Suitability to Children
Gopher is great with both children and adults. She’s gentle and affectionate but can be a bit timid, so she’d do best with calm, respectful kids rather than very boisterous ones.
🐶 My Suitability to Other Pets
Gopher currently lives as a solo dog but has shown no ill will toward other dogs when meeting them out and about. She has previously lived with a few other Frenchies. She hasn’t been tested with cats, so slow, supervised introductions would be recommended if you have feline family members.
Gopher is a gentle, affectionate, and low-maintenance Frenchie who just wants to love and be loved. With her charming blep, sweet nature, and improved comfort after her BOAS surgery, she’s ready to find her forever home, one where she can be your constant shadow, cuddle buddy, and heart-stealer.
Medical notes
Gopher has undergone BOAS surgery to help with her airways.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
