About Gloria
Meet Gloria 👑
3 years | Spayed female | Only-cat, main-character energy
Gloria would like to make one thing very clear:
she does not want roommates.
Originally arriving from the Warrnambool area with a large group of cats, Gloria has made it abundantly clear to us that communal living is not for her. She is a people cat, not a cat’s cat, and she is looking for a home where she can be the sole focus of your attention. This is Gloria’s world. You just live in it.
In the shelter, Gloria gets frantic when it’s her turn for attention — not because she’s aggressive or unkind, but because she doesn’t get nearly as much one-on-one time as she needs. She doesn’t want you to leave. She wants more pats, more interaction, more love… right now, please!
In a home, Gloria will likely take a little time to settle and learn that attention is available whenever she wants it — that she doesn’t need to follow you around or demand affection because she’s not competing with anyone else. Once that clicks, we expect her to relax and thrive.
Gloria is affectionate and people-focused, but she can also get overstimulated. She’s the type to thoroughly enjoy pats… right up until she doesn’t. When she’s had enough, she may give a quick bap to let you know. (This is not unusual for torbie girls — they know they’re beautiful and they know their rights.)
She is well past her mischievous kitten phase and is generally a settled adult cat. She will play with toys and wands once she feels safe and comfortable, she enjoys her food, uses her litter tray reliably, and is not a fussy eater.
When Gloria arrived, she had some patchy skin and coat issues, likely stress-related. These have fully resolved, and she now has a healthy, normal coat and is feeling much more herself.
Please read carefully:
No other cats — this is non-negotiable
No young children — Gloria will absolutely correct them
Best suited to a cat-savvy home that understands overstimulation and boundaries
Needs adopters who can read cat body language and respect when she’s had enough
Gloria doesn’t need entertaining. She doesn’t need fixing. She needs a home that appreciates a confident, affectionate, slightly bossy adult cat who wants to be loved — properly, and on her terms.
If you’re looking for a solo cat with big personality, feline opinions, and a lot of love to give to the right humans, Gloria is ready to get out of here and take over your house!
